Who can participate?

LumbiniX is open to school level, +2, and currently enrolled Bachelor students across Nepal. Bachelor passed out students are not eligible. Participation is team based only individual entries are not accepted.

Do I need a team?

Yes. All participants must register as a team. Each team must have 3 to 4 members. Members can be from the same or different colleges and schools.

Is there a registration fee?

No. Team registration is completely free. Only teams selected for the final hackathon will need to pay a participation fee to confirm their spot. The fee amount will be communicated to selected teams at the time of announcement.

When and where is the event?

LumbiniX Hackathon 2026 takes place from Shrawan 23–25, 2083 BS (August 8–10, 2026) at the Lumbini City College, Lumbini, Nepal.

Is accommodation provided?

Yes, accommodation will be provided for selected teams during the hackathon. Follow our official Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Discord channels for announcements.

What should I bring?

Bring your laptop, charger, student ID, and any hardware you plan to use for your project. We also recommend carrying a reusable water bottle and any personal essentials for the overnight hackathon.

What do selected teams receive?

Accepted Answer

Selected teams get the full 3-day hackathon experience with meals, accommodation, mentorship, fun activities, certificates, and the chance to compete for prizes and recognition. Exclusive perks include one Claude account, one Emergent account, and one Canva account for each selected team, a guided Lumbini tour, and additional partner benefits. A participation fee applies only after your team is selected for the final event.
